VPN on Google One now available on all plans

More secure connections are a new feature that is now available to Google One subscribers. Starting today, all plans will include the VPN by Google One service, which was previously only available to 2TB plan subscribers.

That’s fantastic news for internet security enthusiasts who also dislike paying Google for 2TB of storage each month. Now, when you sign up for Google One, you can use the built-in VPN to hide your IP address and add additional protection to your connections while using apps or browsing the internet. It functions as a privacy shield to prevent online transactions from being tracked by hackers or internet service providers.

You’ll need to open the Google One app and seek for the “VPN” tile on the home screen in order to use your new VPN. By tapping on that, you may access the toggle for on/off and change a few settings. If it’s not on the home page, it can also be found in the Benefits tab. Don’t forget that desktop computers are now also supported by Google One’s VPN.

Once more, the Google One VPN was only previously available with 2TB plans, but it should now be available with the $1.99 tier (100GB). Here you may see a list of all Google One plans. In addition to the VPN access, Google is adding a Dark Web Report to all plans. As the name suggests, this report will notify you if information about you is found on the dark web. That could mean that Google finds your name, address, email, phone number, or social security number in a bad place, which is likely there from yet another data breach from some company you thought you could trust.

Google’s Dark Web Report will start rolling out over the next few weeks in the US.
