A lawsuit brought by a group of protestors who claimed his personal security guards attacked them outside a Trump Tower in New York City more than seven years ago has been settled.
Although the settlement’s specifics were not made public, Trump’s legal team was happy with the outcome.
The parties were ultimately able to reach an amicable agreement, despite the fact that Trump’s lawyer, Alina Habba, was keen to take the issue to trial to show how pointless it was. We are thrilled to finally put this issue to rest and are extremely pleased with the outcome.
Dictor wrote in an email to the Associated Press, “Powerful men may place their names on buildings, but the sidewalk will always belong to the people.
Dctor continued, “A Bronx jury that was going to be confronted with overwhelming evidence in favor of the plaintiffs’ allegations was staring down the barrel at the defendants. However, plaintiffs are pleased that their claims have been resolved and that Donald Trump has acknowledged in writing their right to demonstrate on a public sidewalk.”
