Next Update Will Address the Strange Scrolling Issue on the Pixel 7 Pro

Since the Pixel 7 Pro first became available to Google fans, many have observed a strange scrolling effect that, although it didn’t totally impair the experience on the phone, did look wrong, like a problem that required correcting. After over 4 months of Google tracking it, it appears that the scrolling glitch is finally being fixed.

When you try to swipe on the screen to make a fairly standard scroll, a fault or problem appears. The phone’s user interface would effectively stick or move less than you may anticipate. The screen would scroll briefly in both the horizontal and vertical directions before stopping. It had a slow, strange feeling.Since Google fans have been able to purchase the Pixel 7 Pro, many have noticed an odd scrolling effect that, while it didn’t completely degrade the user experience on the phone, did look off and like a problem that needed to be fixed. Google has been monitoring the scrolling issue for more than 4 months, but it now seems to be fixed.

A flaw or issue emerges when you attempt to swipe on the screen to perform a fairly typical scroll. The user interface on the phone would essentially stick or move less than you may expect. The screen would momentarily scroll both vertically and horizontally before coming to a standstill. That felt slow and odd.

They didn’t put any sort of timeframe on a release, only saying that an “upcoming software update” should improve it. Again, my Pixel 7 Pro is running what will end up being March’s big update and I can no longer reproduce the issue. Maybe it’ll finally be fixed here in a couple of weeks.
