Kim Kardashian has demanded an end to “terrible violence and hateful rhetoric” directed at the Jewish community. The 42-year-old reality star stated that hate speech is “never OK or excusable,” as members of her famous family expressed their support online.
It comes after demonstrators in Los Angeles unfurled banners on an overpass on Sunday, praising her ex-husband Kanye West after the US rapper made anti-Semitic remarks. West was recently barred from posting on Twitter and Instagram due to anti-Semitic remarks that the social media platforms claimed violated their policies.
Social media posting “Hate speech is never OK or excusable,” Kardashian wrote. I stand with the Jewish community in calling for an end to the terrible violence and hateful rhetoric directed at them.”
Khloe Kardashian, Kylie and Kendall Jenner, and other members of the Kardashian-Jenner family expressed their support on social media. “I support my Jewish friends and the Jewish people,” the sisters wrote in a Facebook post.
It comes after a finished documentary about West was shelved and he was dropped by talent agency CAA following his anti-Semitic remarks. He was also chastised earlier this month for wearing a “White Lives Matter” T-shirt to the Paris Fashion Week presentation of his latest collection.
