The connection between Keanu Reeves and his girlfriend Alexandra Grant is being discussed openly. Reeves and Grant have been a couple at least since they made their red carpet debut in 2019, but they have been pals for much longer as they have worked together on numerous projects. Reeves recently provided fans with a brief (and extremely unusual) window into their married lives.
Reeves was responding to a question from People about the “John Wick” actor’s “final moment of joy.”
The 58-year-old actor replied, “With my honey a few days ago. “We were sleeping. We had a connection. We were giggling, grinning, and laughing. I feel fantastic. Simply put, it was wonderful to be together.”
The couple has mostly kept their romance private, however Grant, 49, did speak about the public response to their relationship in an interview with Vogue in 2020. The artist remarked, “I think everyone I knew called me in the first week of November, and that’s fascinating.” But throughout it all, my main concern has been, “What is the chance for good?”
Grant also discussed how she and Reeves, when their connection was platonic, came to work together on their 2011 book “Ode to Happiness.” His thoughts and her artwork are combined in the book, which is about overcoming depression. According to her statement to Vogue, “The book was written as a surprise, by me, for Keanu, as a secret gift.”
Grant also told Vogue that she’s a big romantic, saying, “Love at every level is deeply important to my identity. . . . I do not believe that isolation is the way. There is a period of isolation that I do as a painter, but I deeply value the experience of being in relationships.”
