Google Home Calling: All the Information You Need

As you now know, Google Home calling is beginning to roll out and, if it hasn’t already, should be available on your devices within a week. Even though making Google Home calls to friends, family, and strange businesses after a night of drinking may sound like fun, I’m sure you also have some questions. We’ll attempt to address as many in this post, with a little assistance from Google.

When will Google Home start calling?

Once more, the release began today! If it hasn’t already, Google expects that to continue “over the coming week,” so you should have calling on your Google Home in a few days.

. Just say, “Hey Google, call,” if you have a Google Home in your home and it’s linked to WiFi. It should start up immediately and guide you through any additional steps if calling is active on your devices. If it isn’t yet available, you’ll be informed of this.

2. You can ask Home to “redial,” call certain persons on your contacts list, give specific business names, be more general and ask, “Call nearest liquor store,” or spell out a full phone number.

3. If a person has many phone numbers available, Google will read them all out and ask which one you want to call.

4. You can press Google Home’s top to end a call or say, “Hello Google,

You may put callers on hold and get information from the Google Assistant while on the phone. You can either ask Google Home for assistance by saying “Hey, Google” or by tapping and holding the touch-sensitive top of the device. Both you and the person on the other end of the line are unable to hear the Assistant during that Assistant session. It’s very much a private Assistant session that ends when Google provides the information you want.

Not all Google Assistant functionalities are available while on a call. The following items won’t function when on a Google Home call:
