Even without an early recognition from Google, the Pixel Watch March update has been on our radar for a few weeks. The March update was finally confirmed to be here, the build number we had was accurate, and it featured a sizable number of changes this week.
After reviewing the list of everything new, I can only assume that you felt the need to update as soon as you could. After all, Google hasn’t released a Pixel update since late March, which is substantially longer than usual.
Take this as a warning if you attempted to check for the update over the past few days and were informed that your Pixel Watch was current.Consider this a reminder that you can still force an update through using our preferred outdated Wear OS tapping method. I just turned on my Pixel Watch, gave it a sufficient amount of power, and then performed the procedure to fetch the update. The update is currently 100% active.
You can pull the most recent Pixel Watch update, build RWDA.230114.008.R1 (including the March security patch), to your watch by doing the following:
Tap the Settings icon by sliding down the quick settings menu from the watch’s top.
At “System,” scroll all the way to the bottom, and then tap it.
Choose “System updates.”
Start tapping on the watch’s screen towards the top if there are no updates available.
Keep tapping. Keep tapping. Keeeeeep tapping.
If an update is available, it should show up and start downloading
Boom.
Once updated, enjoy the clock when the watch is powered down, rotating the crown to do some sort of AOD adjustment, improved touch sensitivity, and a soon-t0-be-released fix for alarms being delayed.
