At the screening of her feature film directing debut, the actress told PEOPLE that she “had to grab” her former costar for a short reunion.
Old friends are the best friends.
At the screening of her feature film directing debut Flamin’ Hot on Friday night, Eva Longoria spotted her Desperate Housewives costar Jesse Metcalfe.
As Longoria was preparing to talk to PEOPLE on the event’s star-studded red carpet, she noticed her former co-star and urged him to join her.
After their on-screen romance on the ABC sitcom ended, Longoria told PEOPLE that she “had to grab Jessie” since she hadn’t seen him “in a million years.” The two then posed for a few shots together.
Longoria went on to say that directing Flamin’ Hot was a destiny she had to fulfill even before her Desperate Housewives days.
“I think people think I’m an actor-turned-director, but I’m really a director-producer-turned-actor,” the famous man said to PEOPLE. To to the director, “I’ve always loved being behind the camera, and I’ve always been interested in the business side, so directing has always felt very natural to me.”
To elaborate, Longoria said, “I used Desperate Housewives as my film school — that’s where I learned everything.”
However, when asked if she had any immediate intentions to transition to full-time directing, the diva emphasized, “I love acting, so I’ll always do that.”
