Currently, Celebrity Hairstylists Are Launching a Range, and I Have Tried Them All

I’m not a fan of celebrity-endorsed beauty products. I admit to being a bit of a product snob, so I approach every celebrity-endorsed beauty brand’s testing program with a healthy dose of scepticism. My justification is that, despite the fact that some of my favorite fashionable celebrities serve as excellent sources of beauty inspiration, I am aware that they are not product gurus. The truth is that the innumerable individuals who created their makeup and hairstyles actually have the secrets.

Haircare is the one aspect of beauty where I virtually always seek assistance from professionals. I’ll admit that most of the motivation for this is selfish. You see, I’ve never been able to create an effortlessly glamorous hairstyle with my own hair. Every time i always feel that my only chance of success is to have a professional on call every day (as the A-listers do) after I leave the salon.

And out of all the hairdressers I’ve worked with over the years, the ones that have famous clientele are always the ones who have the inside scoop. Celebrity hairstylists need products that are effective quickly, endure a long time, and promote versatility—all of which I demand from my haircare.

So it will be of no surprise that whenever a celebrity hairstylist launches their own haircare brand, I’m the first in line to try it. A quick way to get celeb-like lengths at home? Sign me up. And over the past couple of years, I’ve been spoilt for choice. With the likes of Jonathan Van Ness, Andrew Fitzsimons (a favorite of J.Lo and the Kardashians) and George Northwood (Alexa Chung’s go-to) all launching their own line of products, it’s fair to say celebrity-stylist haircare has really been having a moment.

But can expert-formulated brands really deliver celeb-standard hairdos? I’ve given every single one a try, and these are most definitely some of the very best haircare brands around.
