Bing powered by AI is now available on Microsoft’s mobile search and browser apps

In NEW DELHI: The rollout of the AI-powered Bing preview for Android and iOS users on the Bing and Edge applications, along with additional capabilities like voice input, has been announced by Microsoft. More than 1 million users have joined a waitlist since the preview’s initial release for desktop users on February 7. Microsoft also mentioned that Bing for Skype would soon be available, allowing users to ask questions during group chats and receive prompt, helpful answers.

The new Bing experiences can be used on mobile devices as of right now by those who have access to the desktop preview. According to the major tech corporation, those on the backlog will have to wait till their request is approved.

Available from the homepage of the Edge mobile app, the new AI-powered experiences in Bing will allow users to speak with a chatbot, ask complex questions and receive answers and citations. Users can choose to have the answers displayed in bullet points, or text. They can also search on Bing using voice prompts with the new voice feature.

Mehdi further said that the AI-powered Bing on Skype will assist users when they are collaborating with friends and family. Skype has over 36 million daily users, according to Mehdi.

“Simply add Bing to the group, as you would any Skype contact, and now you can ask Bing to answer questions and provide information for the entire group,” he added.
