After misconstrued tweets from fans regarding people “making mistakes” in their jobs, Rylan was forced to respond.

Rylan Clark has had to respond to his Twitter followers, telling them that they “really need to read [his] tweets” after many of them failed to see the “irony” in a message he made against the present administration.

The 33-year-old Radio Two host tweeted yesterday using the platform: “When people make poor decisions at work, it is sad and rude to laugh and sneer. Mistakes do occur.

“Just make sure they are the best fit for the position and that no one gets wounded in the process. more so when tampering with people’s lives. It’s real; this isn’t the Sims.

Some even wondered if Rylan, a former X-Factor contestant, was tweeting his support for Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield in the wake of their “queue-gate” controversy, in which they were accused of jumping the line to see the Queen lying-in-State.

Rylan’s tweet was sent on a day where there was huge change at number 11 as PM Liz Truss fired her long-term ally Kwasi Kwarteng after just 38 days in office as their mini-Budget collapsed around them.

In hastily assembled reshuffle, Jeremy Hunt was announced as the new Chancellor of The Exchequer on the same day.

But one person still unsure, asked: “Are we talking about Holly and Phil or Liz Truss?”

And because they weren’t the only one, the Strictly spin-off It Takes Two host felt compelled to spell out exactly what he meant.

He wrote: “The amount of people that pipe up and decide to make their own assumption of what I just said. LETS PUT IT BLUNTLY SHALL WE…… the people currently in government are ruining the economy and the country. It needs changing. (There you go) bye x.”
