A Washington, D.C., man who attempted to violently rape a woman in front of people is heading to prison for 13 years.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office in the District of Columbia announced that Akiem Angelo Williams, 38, of Washington, D.C., was sentenced to 84 months in prison on convictions of kidnapping and first-degree burglary and 72 months for a conviction on assault with the intent to commit first-degree sexual abuse.
He was also ordered 10 years of supervised release after the sentencing, which will run concurrently. Read the full story here
